sharing what we saved on Sunday # 2

This week was not as good as last,

Unfortunately, we had to turn on the heat but it has begun dropping into the 30's at night, but so far, we set it at 62 when we are home and turn it down when we are gone.

I organized my craft cabinet with stuff we already had and took it from this

 to this

I don't if it looks any better but I used things I already had like crystal light containers, a quilt bag, and old easter and halloween buckets to group things together in there so I could find them.

I saved 12.00 off my BJ's shopping trip with instant rebate and club coupons.

a lunch that should have been 24.00 at pizza hut was only 14.00 they didn't charge us for the salad bar.

Despite desperately wanting to download a book or two to my kindle, we went to the library instead and checked some out for free.

That is about it.  What did you do this week for your family/household.  Every little bit counts! You are beautiful!!!!

  1. Glad you were able to go thru your craft supplies. Sometimes its good to do that, I forget what I have if I don't look at it every once in a while. I don't know how well I did on saving this week either. We also had to turn the heat on. We ate at home every night. We had a cookout/bonfire & hayride at church on Sat. night. I took hot dogs that I had gotten on sale and put in the freezer, and I made cupcakes from a mix I already had and homemade caramel frosting. I also made tea and lemonade, so no out of pocket expense for that. We also had our monthly potluck dinner after church yesterday. I made chicken and dumplings from scratch and chocolate meringue pie (two southern favorites around here). I also used ingredients already in my pantry. I also took corn that I had in my freezer that I had put up this summer. I only spent $25 at Walmart this week on filling in groceries & supplies. I need to go to Sam's Club soon, but trying to wait til the first of the month, we got a new sales flyer for November, and some of the items I will be needing will be cheaper then. The only other thing I can think of is I had gotten a little jacket at the consignment store a while back. I kept thinking the sleeves were to long, so I asked my mother in law to hem them for me instead of taking it to the dry cleaners and having it done. My mil is a great seamstress, and was happy to do it. That's about it. I hope you have a great and thrifty week!!
